District and Sessions Court Judge Tahir Abbas Sipra has issued production orders for Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan, following a plea filed by his lawyers.

Imran Khan’s lawyers appeared in court, prompting the judge to order the superintendent of Adiala Jail to present Imran Khan in court on April 4.

The court had previously postponed the hearing of the fake receipts’ case against Bushra Bibi and Imran Khan to April 4. Despite the court order, Imran Khan’s attendance via video link could not be marked due to technical issues, as reported by Adiala Jail officials.

The jail officials submitted a technical report and a written response on the notice of contempt of court, citing server issues as the reason for Imran Khan’s absence via video link.

The superintendent of Adiala Jail informed the court about a similar case under proceeding in the Islamabad High Court.Although the court had ordered the deputy superintendent of Adiala Jail to appear in person, they failed to do so.

Consequently, the court adjourned the bail hearing for Imran Khan and Bushra Bibi until April 4.
