The embassy highlighted ongoing cooperation between the two countries in cultural heritage protection and archaeology, noting that diplomatic relations have been effective in recovering smuggled artifacts.

Italian law enforcement agencies played a crucial role in this operation. The Pakistani embassy expressed gratitude to Italy’s Ministry of Culture for facilitating the return process.

Pakistan is home to some of the world’s oldest civilizations, including the ancient sites of Mehrgarh, Mohenjo-Daro, and Gandhara.
