Sindh Schools Adapt Timings for Ramadan

In a move aimed at maintaining continuity of educational activities, the Sindh School Education Department has adjusted school schedules specifically for the holy month of Ramazan. According to an official notification issued by the department, single-shift schools will operate from 8:00 AM to 12:30 PM during weekdays, with Friday classes extended by 30 minutes to run until 11:30 AM.

Double-shifted institutions have seen more substantial changes. In morning sessions, these schools now start at 7:30 AM and conclude at 11:00 AM on days other than Fridays, while the Friday session is condensed from its usual 10:30 AM to 1:15 PM end time to a shortened period ending by 11:45 AM.

The aim behind these adjustments is to accommodate students and teachers during the fasting month. Single-shift schools will now operate with just two sessions, while double-shifted institutions benefit from extended breaks in their longer days off, offering more flexibility for both education and personal observance of Ramadan.

These schedule changes underscore the department’s commitment to providing a supportive learning environment amidst religious observances, ensuring that academic progress is not interrupted.
