Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah has dismissed the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s (PTI) February 8 strike as a failure, with no protests observed across the country during this sensitive period.

In an interview with local media in Karachi, Murad Ali Shah highlighted that prices tend to spike during Ramadan, and his government is closely monitoring them. He also announced that efforts are being made to prevent price hikes for staple items like wheat and flour, citing past mistakes as a learning experience.

Notably, the Chief Minister commended the successful conduct of Hazrat Lal Shahbaz Qalandar (RA)’s Urs celebrations in the city. Over three days, around three million devotees attended the event, showcasing the deep religious commitment and cultural significance to the public and pilgrims alike.

Murad Ali Shah’s stance comes as a stark contrast to PTI’s call for strikes, underscoring the ongoing political division within Pakistan. Despite the lack of protests, citizens continue to voice their concerns through other avenues, highlighting the broader socio-political landscape in the country.
