Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah underscored on Sunday that the entire country has turned down PTI’s call for a wheel-jam strike, highlighting how traders continued business as usual despite it being a weekend. Speaking to media, he emphasized that no activity should come at the cost of democracy, which must remain inviolate.
Murad Ali Shah called upon all political factions to steer clear from protest politics and instead engage in constructive dialogue within the parliament. He noted that while Karachi faces numerous challenges, efforts are ongoing to move forward collectively.
In a somber reminder following the tragic incident at Gul Plaza, he pledged support for those affected by the fire. “The Gul Plaza tragedy has indeed saddened us all,” Murad Ali Shah said. “We will not leave our fellow citizens alone in their time of need; we will work tirelessly to compensate and provide aid.”
Furthermore, he underlined the importance of putting preventive measures in place to prevent a recurrence of such incidents. The Chief Minister’s call for unity amidst adversity resonates with an overarching sentiment across Pakistan, where democracy is seen as sacrosanct, despite challenges that continue to arise.
