During the inspection, the chief minister called for the removal of illegal encroachments along the route, instructing local authorities and police to take firm action against unauthorized structures to ensure unimpeded traffic.

He also announced that the expressway would be restricted to vehicles, with motorcycles and rickshaws prohibited. To maintain order and safety, security checkpoints will be established along the route.

Highlighting the project’s importance, Shah reiterated his commitment to expediting work on the remaining sections of the expressway after completing the first phase. The Malir Expressway is a key infrastructure initiative aimed at alleviating Karachi’s persistent traffic congestion and enhancing connectivity across the city.
