The Sindh government has announced plans to offer significant relief on electricity bills for consumers using up to 200 units, according to spokesperson Sadia Javed.

Speaking on a private news channel, Javed emphasized that the provincial government is actively working on this initiative to reduce electricity prices, fulfilling a commitment made by PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto.

While the federal government, under the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP), has faced challenges in implementing a nationwide free electricity scheme, Javed assured that the Sindh government is now moving ahead with this promise at the provincial level.

Addressing the recent power tariff relief announced by PML-N in Punjab, Javed argued that such relief measures should not be limited to one province and called for unity rather than political point-scoring, which she believes is detrimental to the country.

Javed hinted at an upcoming announcement from the Sindh government that would lower electricity costs, offering much-needed financial relief to the province’s residents. She also responded to comments by Sindh Governor Kamran Tesori, urging patience and reaffirming the government’s commitment to easing the financial burden on Sindh’s people.
