Steven Spielberg has described his upcoming alien movie, Disclosure Day, as offering more truth than fiction. The veteran filmmaker made this statement at the CinemaCon convention in Las Vegas, where he also discussed plans for Christopher Nolan’s film, The Odyssey.
Spielberg decided to delve into extraterrestrial themes after reading a 2017 New York Times report about US military pilots who reported seeing mysterious flying objects. He believes Disclosure Day will answer questions and prompt more inquiries.
Disclosure Day stars Emily Blunt, Josh O’Connor, Colman Domingo, and Colin Firth. It will be released by Universal Pictures in June. The Odyssey, directed by Nolan and starring Matt Damon as Odysseus, is set to debut in July.
