Sui Southern Gas Company (SSGC) marked the anniversary of Operation Swift Retort — referred to as Operation Bunyan al- Marsoos — with a solemn yet spirited ceremony at its head office on Friday. The event paid tribute to Pakistan’s armed forces and honored the martyrs of the 2019 cross-border skirmish with India.
The commemoration began with a flag-hoisting ceremony led by Acting Managing Director Amin Rajput, accompanied by a rendition of the national anthem. Addressing the assembled executives and staff, Rajput praised the military’s response to aggression and emphasized Pakistan’s resolve for peace, underscoring the precision and professionalism of the country’s fighter pilots.
“Pakistan desires peace, but our response showed we will never compromise on our sovereignty,” Rajput said.
A Dua-e-Shukar and special prayers for regional peace followed. The gathering, adorned with national colors and accompanied by patriotic songs, reflected a strong sentiment of national unity and support for the armed forces.
