Lahore’s electricity transmission system was severely impacted by strong winds and rain, leading to widespread power outages. Over 200 LESCO feeder trips occurred due to storm-related issues, while technical faults also contributed to electricity suspension in several areas.
LESCO recorded a total electricity demand of 3,398 megawatts, with supply at 3,710 megawatts. The utility is currently working on restoring the affected feeders and has appealed for consumer cooperation.
A spokesperson stated that field staff are on alert, and feeders shut due to emergency or fault-based issues will be restored promptly. Teams are actively in the field to restore the affected feeders as soon as possible.
