Strong winds and rainfall disrupted power supply across several regions served by Multan Electric Power Company (MEPCO), causing widespread outages in southern Punjab. Multiple feeders tripped in Muzaffargarh, Dera Ghazi Khan, Multan, Khanewal, and Bahawalpur circles, leaving many areas without electricity.

MEPCO officials confirmed that severe weather conditions temporarily affected power distribution in several locations. Operational teams were working on an emergency basis to restore the affected feeders, with restoration work progressing rapidly.

Field staff had been mobilized to identify faults and resume electricity supply as quickly as possible. MEPCO said restoration operations were being carried out in accordance with safety protocols and would continue until all affected feeders were brought back online.

The utility administration directed field teams to remain on high alert until power was fully restored and appealed for consumer cooperation during the recovery process. All available resources were being utilized, with repair and restoration efforts continuing in the affected areas.
