The Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) has alerted the public to potential disruptions in internet and broadband services due to a fault in the submarine cable AAE-1 near Qatar.

The AAE-1 cable is one of seven undersea cables that handle Pakistan’s international internet traffic. The PTA stated, “This may impact internet and broadband user experience across Pakistan,” but assured that teams are working to resolve the issue.
