Police have apprehended a suspect involved in a brutal robbery attempt that turned violent. According to officials, the assault and shooting occurred in Rawalpindi when the suspect attempted to snatch the bag of a returning girl from Commercial Market. The incident has been circulating on social media since CCTV footage was made public.
The suspect, identified as Sabeel, hails from Kashmir. Officials confirmed an earlier case registration at Waris Khan police station based on the victim’s complaint.
The footage showed the suspect using force to get the girl’s bag and when she resisted, he attacked her with violence before fleeing the scene. Despite sustaining injuries, including a gunshot wound, the victim remained resilient, chasing after him as he fled.
Witnesses noted that the girl displayed exceptional courage by resisting the robber. The police highlighted this bravery in their statements.
