Pakistani security officials announced on Wednesday that cross-border shelling from Afghanistan resulted in five civilian injuries, including four children, in South Waziristan. According to sources, mortar fire from the Afghan side landed in Angoor Adda area, damaging a house belonging to local residents Karim Khan and Rehmatullah. A woman and four children were seriously injured and taken to District Headquarters Hospital in Wana for treatment.

The attack targeted civilian areas along the border, following a similar incident days earlier that left three people injured in the same region. In response, Pakistani forces targeted multiple positions across the border. Security sources claimed that Afghan Taliban personnel abandoned their posts after the retaliatory strikes. The ongoing Operation Ghazab-lil-Haq is set to continue until all designated objectives are achieved.
