Taylor Swift reportedly approaches her wedding guest list with caution, avoiding potential media attention that could arise from including actress Blake Lively. According to a new report by Us Weekly, the pop superstar is uncertain about inviting Lively due to concerns over unwanted press coverage. A source has informed the outlet that including Lively “would likely trigger a media frenzy,” something Swift is reportedly trying to avoid as she plans her ceremony.
The alleged tension stems from ongoing scrutiny of Swift’s friendship with Lively after Lively’s legal battle with co-star Justin Baldoni. This situation, coupled with recent exposure over private text messages between the two in unsealed court documents, has left Swift feeling “exposed and kind of violated,” according to sources. The emotional distance between them, now apparent even in occasional messaging, poses challenges for rebuilding their former closeness.
Swift, 36, is set to marry NFL player Travis Kelce at Ocean House in Watch Hill, Rhode Island this summer after two years of dating. Lively, who was also engaged at the time, has not reached out and is expected to remain outside the wedding festivities. Swift and Lively’s friendship, once frequent public sightings with their respective spouses, has now been largely absent for over a year. Their former closeness is reportedly marked by an emotional gap that may take time to bridge.
The ongoing legal dispute between Lively and Baldoni further complicates matters, though it remains scheduled for May 18.
