Peshawar (Web Desk) – A significant development has taken place in the Kohistan financial scandal in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, where ten accused individuals surrendered before an accountability court and submitted applications to forfeit assets worth millions of rupees.

The hearing was conducted by Administrative Judge Muhammad Zafar Khan, with NAB Deputy Prosecutor General Muhammad Ali, Prosecutor Manak Shah, and Investigation Officer Muhammad Inayatullah present.

During the proceedings, the accused stated that NAB had already taken possession of assets registered in their names but claimed these properties were actually purchased by the main accused, making them benamidars (beneficiaries). They expressed their willingness to relinquish all such assets, asserting they had no ownership claim and raised no objection to NAB taking formal custody.

Deputy Prosecutor General Muhammad Ali informed the court that NAB would not pursue further legal action against the accused if the assets were surrendered. He added that the properties include plots and luxury vehicles, collectively valued at Rs 237,778,600.
