Separately, Lodhran District Police Officer (DPO) Ali bin Tariq reached the site of the incident immediately after being alerted. He stated that reasons behind the accident are being determined, and legal action will be taken against those responsible.

Last month, at least 24 people were killed in two separate accidents on the same day: a truck fell into a dry canal in Punjab’s Sargodha district, while a coach overturned near Balochistan’s Ormara tehsil. Days later, five persons, including a school-going child, died in two separate traffic accidents due to poor visibility caused by dense fog in Nankana Sahib and Sialkot.
