Iran’s Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) Deputy for Political Affairs, Second Brigadier General Yadollah Javani, has stated that US President Donald Trump faces unfavorable options regarding Iran. According to Iranian state media, Trump must choose between a “bad” or “worse” course of action.
Javani said the US president now confronts two paths: recognizing the conditions and rights of the Iranian nation or continuing an aggressive war against Iran. He added that the United States and Israel had miscalculated in launching a large-scale offensive, aiming to target Iran’s nuclear and missile capabilities and weaken its political system.
Iran has gained a stronger regional position, including influence over the Strait of Hormuz, Javani claimed. Tehran has laid out conditions for resolving the current standoff, leaving Washington with a response.
The IRGC commander warned that Iranian forces remain fully prepared for any escalation, stating that further miscalculations would be met with a “stronger and more decisive” response.
