US President Donald Trump stated on Friday that Iran still possesses “21, 22 per cent” of its missiles. This figure is higher than the 18 percent estimate given in May. Despite repeated violations of a ceasefire and firing dozens of missiles across the region, Trump claimed to have destroyed Iran’s war-fighting capacity.
Iran’s military reported firing “warning missiles” at two US destroyers in the Gulf of Oman on Friday, an assertion denied by the US military. Two days prior, Kuwait intercepted 30 ballistic missiles as part of what it termed “heinous Iranian aggression.”
Despite weeks of complex negotiations marked by threats and violence, no deal to end the conflict has been reached. Trump emphasized that Iran has “no choice” but to reach an agreement, stating that they are strong, proud, and will have to do things they never thought possible.
