Trump Says Iran War Close to Over in Fox News Remarks

US President Donald Trump has signaled a possible turning point in the ongoing conflict with Iran, stating that the war is “close to over.” In an interview with Fox News, Trump reiterated his stance that military intervention was necessary to prevent Iran from developing nuclear weapons. He also suggested that Iran may now be more willing to negotiate.

Trump’s comments come despite earlier assessments by the International Atomic Energy Agency which found no evidence of Iran building a nuclear weapon before the conflict began. Meanwhile, Vice President JD Vance said a ceasefire between the two sides appears to be holding nearly a week after it was put in place.
