President Donald Trump stated on Monday that Israel did not influence his decision to attack Iran. This comes after reports suggesting Israeli leader Benjamin Netanyahu played a role in swaying the US president’s choice. Trump also dismissed criticism from right-wing commentators, asserting that “the results of Oct. 7th” and his long-held belief that “Iran can never have a nuclear weapon” were key factors.
In a Truth Social post, Trump further expressed optimism about the outcome in Iran, noting that if Iran’s new leaders embrace regime change, the country could look forward to a prosperous future. The US is set to resume negotiations in Pakistan, though Iran has yet to decide on participation.
