US President Donald Trump has warned Iran of severe consequences if it fails to reach an agreement soon. In a statement on Truth Social, he said time is “rapidly running out” for Iran and that immediate action is required. Failure to agree would leave Iran in “very bad conditions,” according to the president.
Trump emphasized that time is critical, stating that the agreement is in Iran’s favor. He urged Tehran to strike a deal with Washington to avoid a difficult period.
Earlier, Trump posted on social media without explicitly naming Iran, captioned “The calm before the storm.” The image showed him aboard a naval vessel alongside a US navy officer, while a military boat carrying the Iranian flag could be seen in the background.
Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian praised Pakistan’s efforts towards achieving a ceasefire during a meeting with Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi. He commended Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Field Marshal Asim Munir for their contributions.
Pezeshkian expressed hope that Pakistan’s diplomatic efforts would play an important role in establishing lasting peace in the region. He emphasized Iran’s desire for sincere and stable relations with Islamic countries, noting that unity among Muslim nations could reduce interference from external powers. Coordination and solidarity among Islamic countries are crucial for durable peace and stability.
