Two Killed, Six Injured in Karachi Road Accidents

At least two fatalities and six injuries occurred in three separate road accidents in Karachi on Sunday.

The first incident took place near Bilal Chowrangi area of Korangi where a water tanker driven recklessly hit a motorcycle, killing 20-year-old Saima instantly and injuring her father and sister. The deceased and injured were transported to a nearby hospital.

The second accident occurred at Shahra-e-Faisal near Natha Khan Bridge where two motorcycles collided due to over-speeding, resulting in the death of a 40-year-old man identified as Iqbal. Two others sustained injuries. Rescue teams shifted the deceased and injured to hospitals.

The third incident happened at Hab River Road when a speeding bus hit a pick-up, injuring two people. Rescue teams arrived on site and transported the injured to hospitals.

It is noteworthy that this year’s traffic accidents in Karachi have claimed 262 lives, with 91 fatalities occurring due to heavy-traffic-related incidents over an 88-day period.
