Two Militants Killed, Including Afghan National from Khost Province

Security forces killed two militants, including an Afghan national from Khost province, during a counter-terrorism operation on June 4. The slain militant was identified as Umar Bilal, carrying an Afghan ID card, foreign currency, modern weapons, and a suicide vest.

This operation is part of ongoing efforts to eliminate militant networks in the region. It comes amid intensified counter-terrorism operations across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan, where security forces have been targeting militant hideouts linked to recent attacks.

Pakistan’s Information Minister Attaullah Tarar confirmed that at least 26 militants were killed in cross-border strikes along the Afghan border in response to a series of recent attacks. These actions reflect Pakistan’s heightened efforts against armed groups operating in border regions, particularly in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan.
