The UAE’s Consul General in Karachi, Dr. Bakheet Ateeq Alremeithi, has highlighted difficulties faced by Pakistanis with UAE visa processes, attributing some issues to problematic social media activities.

Dr. Alremeithi revealed that negative content posted by certain Pakistani influencers on platforms like TikTok has drawn dissatisfaction from the UAE government, prompting stricter visa regulations affecting Pakistani travelers.

In an interview with a private news outlet, Alremeithi advised Pakistanis to engage positively on social media and urged respect for the UAE’s regulations and cultural norms. He cautioned that the UAE actively monitors online activity, with negative posts potentially leading to “serious consequences.”

He also pointed to concerns about the qualifications of Pakistani professionals, especially in banking and healthcare, as they face challenges in degree attestation. He encouraged individuals to seek assistance with the attestation process directly at the UAE consulate.

“I urge focus on education and health sectors, as there are many chances for Pakistanis to excel,” he said.
