Vehicle Verification Goes Digital with NADRA Pak ID App

The National Database and Registration Authority has introduced a new verification facility for the buying and selling of registered vehicles in Sindh, aiming to improve public access to essential services.

The initiative has been launched in collaboration with the Sindh government. Under the new system, citizens can verify the details of registered vehicles and cars through NADRA’s Pak ID mobile application. The digital facility allows users to check vehicle information from their homes using the app. Once the vehicle’s credentials are verified, buyers and sellers can complete the remaining registration and transfer procedures through the relevant provincial departments.

NADRA has advised citizens to visit its official website or contact its helpline at 1777 for further guidance on using the new service.

Earlier, NADRA also launched a pilot project to expand access to its services through selected e-Sahulat franchises. Under this initiative, services such as reprinting lost Computerised National Identity Cards and renewing expired CNICs are being offered outside traditional NADRA registration centres.

According to officials, the pilot phase has been introduced at 18 e-Sahulat franchises in Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Lahore and Karachi.

The initiative is aimed at reducing the workload at NADRA registration centres while making identity-related services more accessible at the community level, supporting the broader push towards digital and citizen-friendly public services.
