Vice President JD Vance sat with his family and boxing champion Jake Paul for a special viewing experience during the Winter Olympics, watching the United States women’s hockey team secure a commanding 5-0 victory over Finland. The Vice President’s youngest daughter, Mirabel, was seated on his lap, while Usha Vance, who wore a sweatshirt with “USA” emblazoned across it, clapped along to Queen’s “We Will Rock You” just before halftime.

The Vice President stood up and cheered alongside his wife when the United States women scored their first goal. They continued their enthusiastic cheering as the team added two more scores in quick succession near the end of the second period.

Seated closely by Vance were former Olympic figure skating gold medalist Evan Lysacek, and fellow hockey players Jocelyne Lamoureux-Davidson and Monique Lamoureux-Morando, who are members of the U.S. team that won the gold at the 2018 Winter Games.

This marked the second time that Vice President Vance had watched a game featuring the United States women’s team during these Winter Olympics. He had also attended an earlier match on Thursday, where the United States defeated the Czech Republic with scores of 5-1 in their opening match of the preliminary round.

The Vice President’s wife and children provided a heartwarming contrast to the excitement and intensity of the game, creating an intimate moment that showcased family unity.
