WhatsApp Beta Tests AI Innovations from Meta AI

WhatsApp’s beta versions are currently undergoing testing of innovative AI capabilities, powered by Meta AI.

Among the features being trialed are an AI-driven chatbot, a sophisticated photo editor, and a generative AI-based photo enhancer.

According to insights from WABetaInfo, the latest WhatsApp beta for Android (version 2.23.25.15) introduces a Meta AI shortcut in the top bar, allowing users to ask questions and access information seamlessly within the app.

Another beta version (version 2.24.7.13) is experimenting with an advanced photo editor, enabling users to refine, style, and even alter backgrounds of their images.

Additionally, WhatsApp introduces a new feature allowing users to choose between SD and HD options for default media upload quality.

While these cutting-edge AI features are still in the development phase, WhatsApp plans to gradually introduce them across all platforms in the coming days.
