Two people died when a wildfire destroyed a house in northern Greece. The fire started on Tuesday afternoon in bushland near the village of Liti, about 25 km from Thessaloniki. Firefighters found one body outside and another inside the house; a woman with burns was rescued.
Authorities ordered residents to evacuate the settlement and move to a nearby field. Experts say countries like Greece are prime locations for wildfires due to rapid climate change, resulting in more destructive fires during hot, dry summers.
