Police Declare Zain Shah Murder Case as Mob Lynching
The investigation into the brutal murder of Zain Shah has taken an important turn with the declaration of the case under Section 11 WW of the Anti-Terrorism Act. This development was announced by the police in Dhamial, following the arrest of six accused individuals involved in the mob lynching.
Accused Persons Arrested
The arrested persons include Amjad Khan, Shah Hussain, Abdul Basit, Hamza Khan, Noman Khan, and Sohail Mahmood. The Anti-Terrorism Court granted the police a ten-day physical remand for further questioning of these individuals regarding other accomplices, planning of the incident, and the motorcycle used in Zain’s kidnapping.
Incident Details
The double murder took place on May 8 in Pir Mehr Ali Shah Town following a dispute over a transaction of Rs1,300. Siraj Mehsud went to Zain Shah’s house with associates where a heated argument escalated into a shootout that killed Mehsud. His relatives, enraged by his death, gathered a group and subjected Zain Shah to inhumane torture before ultimately killing him.
