President Asif Ali Zardari approved key legislative bills and official matters on May 21, 2026. The Islamabad Capital Territory Prohibition of Plastic Book Covers Bill 2026 aimed at environmental protection was among them. Code of Criminal Procedure (Amendment) Bill 2026 also received presidential approval.
On the same day, President Zardari granted Governor of Sindh’s foreign leave from May 21 to June 3, 2026.
President Zardari extended greetings to King Abdullah II ibn Al Hussein and the people of Jordan on their Independence Day. He highlighted mutual respect, trust, and shared values between Pakistan and Jordan in his message. The president also expressed best wishes for the continued progress and prosperity of the people of Jordan during King Abdullah’s November 2025 visit to Pakistan.
