Aden Holloway, an Alabama Crimson Tide basketball player, faces felony drug charges for possession of marijuana. The arrest occurred four days before his team’s NCAA tournament appearance.

West Alabama Narcotics Task Force agents found over a pound of marijuana, paraphernalia, and cash during a property search near the university campus. Stephanie Taylor, Tuscaloosa County police spokesperson, arrested Holloway on Monday with a $5,000 bond for first-degree possession of marijuana. He also faces charges for failing to affix a tax stamp.

Alabama law stipulates up to 10 years in prison and a fine of $15,000 if found guilty. This is not the first time Holloway has been involved in police matters recently; he was stopped by campus police last week.
