Pakistan’s Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) has seized 200 kilograms of crystal meth, worth over Rs2 billion, in a major operation at Karachi Port, officials confirmed on Monday.

Acting on a tip-off, the Port Control Unit raided a shipping container at Karachi Gateway Terminal, bound for Dubai’s Jebel Ali Port. Inside, they discovered the highly addictive drug concealed in packets labeled as broast masala.

The narcotics were packed in 2,000 spice packets, many of which had been carefully modified to hide the crystal meth, the ANF said in a statement.

The shipment had been booked by Al Shams Import Export, a company reportedly based in Multan. Authorities are now working to trace and arrest members of the smuggling network.

“This is a major blow to international drug trafficking networks,” the spokesperson added. Investigations remain ongoing.
