Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has announced plans for a “special court martial” during a high-level meeting in Murree, chaired by her.
The decision underscores a determined effort to enhance law and order in the province, with attendees including key officials and representatives from the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N).
Alongside the establishment of the special court martial, measures include the creation of a dedicated unit to combat organized and cybercrimes, with plans for IT and cyber investigations training. A “special audit system” will probe corruption cases within the police department, complementing efforts to address any links with criminal elements.
