The Supreme Court administration has initiated an investigation into a viral picture of former Prime Minister Imran Khan, which circulated on social media during proceedings on the amendments to NAB laws, sources revealed on Thursday.
The image captured Khan wearing a light blue shirt, seemingly taken from a mobile device as he appeared on the laptop screen during the video link session with the Supreme Court regarding amendments to the National Accountability Ordinance, 1999 (NAO) – the legislation governing the National Accountability Bureau.
Sources indicate that the Supreme Court has directed officials to review CCTV footage of the courtroom to identify the individual responsible for disseminating the picture. They emphasized that the image was captured in violation of courtroom regulations and asserted that the police would take necessary action against the individual involved.
Additionally, reports suggest that the size of the PTI founder’s video feed in the court has been reduced following the circulation of the picture.
