DEMP’s Exhibition in Islamabad Pays Tribute to Kashmiri Victims

The Directorate of Electronic Media and Publications (DEMP) organized a digital photography and painting exhibition at the Information Service Academy (ISA), Zero Point, Islamabad, on February 2, 2024. The event aimed to express Pakistan’s unwavering support for the people of Jammu and Kashmir while commemorating those who lost their lives in the ongoing conflict.

The Federal Secretary for Information & Broadcasting, Shahera Shahid, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest, lending her presence to underscore the significance of the event. The exhibition prominently featured paintings highlighting the atrocities inflicted by Indian forces in the Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK), shedding light on the struggles endured by Kashmiris.

Adding depth to the narrative, a documentary produced by the Azad Jammu Kashmir (AJK) Council was screened, offering a poignant portrayal of the plight faced by Kashmiris. The event also showcased a special song crafted by DEMP in honor of Kashmir Solidarity Day, amplifying the message of unity and support.

Printed materials, including booklets and brochures, provided additional insight and context, enriching the exhibition experience for attendees. However, the true essence of the Kashmir Solidarity Day commemoration was embodied in the heartfelt speeches and stirring performances by students from Islamabad Model Girls School G-9/4.
