Simultaneously, Turkey stepped in to mediate between Islamabad and Kabul. Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan engaged in separate calls with Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, along with Afghanistan’s Foreign Minister Amir Khan Muttaqi, to address the evolving situation.
