On Sunday, the first group of 27 Palestinian medical students left Cairo for Pakistan to continue their education, highlighting a moment in humanitarian aid and international solidarity. The students, from the war-torn Gaza Strip, are part of a larger group of 192 Palestinians who will be pursuing medical and dental studies across various institutions in Pakistan.

Officials from the Embassy of Pakistan in Cairo, along with representatives from the Al-Khidmat Foundation, facilitated the students’ departure from Cairo International Airport to Lahore. This initiative is a collaborative effort involving Global Relief Trust, Doctors of Rahman, and the Al-Khidmat Foundation, reflecting a united approach to supporting the future healthcare professionals of Palestine.

Pakistan’s Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif directed the authorities to ensure full financial support for the students, offering them a safe and nurturing environment to pursue their education despite the ongoing conflict in Gaza. The program is fully funded and aims to equip these students with the medical training necessary to rebuild and strengthen their war-torn communities.
