FPCCI, ABAD urged PM to extend Tessori’s tenure as Governor

Sindh Governor urges joint efforts for better future, extensive role for province

During a luncheon hosted in honor of Sindh Governor Kamran Khan Tessori, President of the Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI) Atif Ikram Sheikh, and patron in chief S. M Tanveer, urged Prime Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif to extend Governor Kamran Khan Tessori’s tenure.

Speaking to the media, they emphasized the importance of Governor Tessori’s role in addressing the concerns of the business community and the public at large. They highlighted Tessori’s 18-month tenure, during which he effectively addressed issues across various sectors of life. They stressed the significance of Tessori’s presence as Governor of Sindh in the context of the implementation of IMF projects in Sindh.

Prior to this, Tessori was welcomed by President FPCCI Atif Ikram Sheikh, Patron in Chief UBG SM Tanveer, Former Senior Vice President FPCCI Sheikh Khalid Tawab, and FPCCI members upon his arrival at the FPCCI Federation House.

Governor Sindh expressed gratitude for the recognition from the FPCCI, stating that the federation plays a vital role in representing the business community and industries nationwide. He expressed his personal commitment to being fully aware of their issues and dedicated to finding solutions. He further stated that the current government is determined to create a conducive environment for business and investment.

Governor Tessori reiterated his belief in collective efforts to shape a brighter future for Pakistan and future generations. He emphasized the importance of FPCCI’s unwavering dedication to the country’s economic development. He pledged to continue meetings aimed at planning for a better future. Governor Sindh was presented with a shield by the FPCCI on this occasion.

On Saturday, the Governor Sindh was also invited at the Association of Builders and Developers Pakistan (ABAD). Top developers and builders including Patron in chief ABAD Mohsin Shekhani, Chairman Asif Sumsum, Arif Habib, Mustafa Sheikhani, Raheel Rinch, Owais Thanvi, Danish Rauf, Ayub Ibrahim, during their address also lauded the efforts of incumbent governor and urged Prime minister Mian Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif to extend the governorship of Muhammad Kamran Khan Tessori.

Patron in Chief ABAD Mohsin Sheikhani praised Governor Kamran Tessori’s tenure, citing his contributions despite security challenges. Tessori’s efforts have facilitated easier access for stakeholders, overcoming previous hurdles. Sheikhani emphasized the need for policy initiatives in light of population growth. He advised Governor Tessori to advocate for collaborative problem-solving with key stakeholders across the nation. The arrival of Mansoor Janjua from Punjab underscores the importance of inter-provincial cooperation for development. Sheikhani highlighted the necessity of addressing citizens’ concerns directly. Sheikhani criticized the lack of accountability in previous projects, stressing the importance of transparency in governance. He urged for policies that prioritize public welfare and address infrastructure needs. Mohsin Sheikhani concluded by emphasizing the importance of long-term planning for sustainable development and governance.

Chairman ABAD Asif Sumsum expressed profound optimism upon Governor Kamran Tessori’s performance, highlighting his unique commitment to public welfare. He praised Tessori for his hands-on approach, which has resonated positively with the business community. Tessori’s proactive initiatives, even without formal powers, have earned him widespread acclaim. Asif Samsum noted the significant impact of Tessori’s policies, benefiting millions of citizens and providing IT courses for youth. He questioned the need for experimentation when such effective leadership is already in place. Sumsum pledged full support for Governor Tessori’s endeavors, emphasizing unity and collaboration for progress.
