Actor Hania Aamir recently shared an Instagram video where she addressed online harassment and bullying. Known for roles in Kabhi Main Kabhi Tum (2024) and Meri Zindagi Hai Tu (2025), Aamir discussed her brief social media absence, attributing it to the pressures of constant opinions and harsh judgments prevalent in today’s digital age.

Reflecting on these challenges, she said, “People just hate happy women. Not just men, women too.” She expressed disappointment over women who contribute to negativity, describing them as part of a “hate train” that finds peace in putting others down.

Aamir highlighted the shift from societal judgment to online spaces, noting outdated standards persist on Instagram with phrases like “kali, gori, patli.”

She also addressed the culture of comparison among women, questioning why only women’s outfits are compared. Aamir noted such content often fuels unnecessary competition and scrutiny over women’s achievements.

The actor further discussed societal risks for women who challenge norms, emphasizing that people may hate on successful women because they question the status quo. She encouraged her audience to introspect: “Think about what’s triggering you about a happy and content woman.”

Many influencers and celebrities praised Aamir’s message, which concluded with an appeal for acceptance: “Let people be whoever they are.”
