Attack in Pahalgam Kills 26 Tourists

On April 22, 2025, a deadly attack took place in Pahalgam, resulting in the deaths of 26 people, mostly tourists. Tarar’s statement on Wednesday marked the anniversary of the attack, emphasizing that New Delhi had neither presented solid proof nor satisfactory explanations regarding Pahalgam. He also noted that India rejected Pakistan’s proposal for an impartial and transparent investigation into the event, raising doubts about the credibility of their claims.

The Information Minister highlighted the false flag operation in Pahalgam as a reflection of a mindset driven by false pride, arrogance, and greed. Tarar emphasized that Pakistan has long been a victim of terrorism and expressed sympathy for those affected by the attack.

He questioned how the case’s first report was registered minutes after the incident occurred and raised concerns over security lapses at the site. Tarar also pointed out India’s tendency to present internal matters as external issues and vice versa, stating that terrorism is an internal issue for India but portrayed as an external problem. Similarly, he noted that the Kashmir issue is an international matter but presented by India as an internal one.
