Iran Promises Retaliation for Israeli Strikes With ‘All Available Tools’

Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Esmaeil Baghaei has declared that Tehran will “use all available tools” in response to Israel’s recent airstrikes on Iranian targets.

While initial reports from Iran downplayed the impact, describing the damage as minimal, tensions remain high. U.S. President Joe Biden has urged for a de-escalation to prevent further conflict in the already volatile Middle East.

During a televised press conference, Baghaei hinted that Iran’s response will depend on the specifics of Israel’s attack, though he did not reveal any concrete plans. Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei also addressed the issue, urging Iranian officials to carefully consider how best to project the nation’s strength without either underplaying or exaggerating the situation.

PM Shehbaz Condemns Israeli Strikes on Iran, Urges Peace

Israel’s military confirmed that dozens of jets carried out three waves of airstrikes on Saturday, targeting missile production sites and other strategic locations near Tehran and in western Iran. This latest exchange follows months of tit-for-tat attacks, with Iran launching a missile strike on October 1, which Israel claimed to have largely intercepted.

The escalating conflict comes against the backdrop of Iran’s support for Hezbollah, which is currently locked in fierce clashes with Israeli forces in Lebanon, and Hamas, which is engaged in fighting with Israel in Gaza.
