Yellowstone’s fifth and final season faced significant challenges upon Kevin Costner’s departure halfway through the series, leading to a contentious conclusion. John Dutton, the central character, was tragically murdered, creating a cliffhanger that left fans disappointed and the cast member Kelly Reilly particularly troubled.

In an interview with The Sunday Times, Reilly expressed her sentiments on the finale by stating, “It’s a shame.” She elaborated further, saying, “[It’s] a shame it ended that way, but it did. [If] we were just having a beer, I could share more,” she told the interviewer.

Beth, played by Kelly Reilly, hinted at behind-the-scenes drama during her time on the show. “A lot went on behind the scenes that had nothing to do with me; I was just waiting, ‘When are we going back to work?'” she revealed.

In an attempt to fulfill fans’ enduring interest in the Dutton family saga, The Yellowstone spinoffs and prequels continue John Dutton’s legacy. Beth and her partner Rip Wheeler (played by Cole Hauser) opted for a more peaceful life at The Dutton Ranch, leading to their own spinoff titled “The Dutton Ranch.” This new series will depict the couple’s experiences in a different era.

Other Yellowstone spinoffs include “Marshals” and “The Madison,” with prequels like “1883” and “1923” already available.
