Khuzdar press club president killed in bomb blast

Khuzdar city in Balochistan was shaken by a tragic explosion in the Chamrok area on Friday, claiming the life of one person.

The victim, identified as Maulana Muhammad Siddique Mengal, served as the president of the Khuzdar Press Club. The incident has deeply affected the community, shedding light on the dangers faced by journalists and media personnel in conflict-prone regions.

Police reports indicate that the blast also injured nine other individuals, including a policeman, intensifying the severity of the situation. The injured were promptly transported to Khuzdar Teaching Hospital for medical treatment.

Maulana Mengal, who was the provincial deputy emir of the JUI-F, was en route to the mosque for Friday prayers when his car was struck by a magnet bomb in the Chamrok area, as confirmed by the police. This is not the first time Maulana Mengal has been targeted, according to police sources.

CCTV footage obtained from the scene shows terrorists planting a magnet bomb on the victim’s car. The footage captures the explosion occurring as the terrorist approaches the vehicle.

Investigations are ongoing to determine the precise cause and nature of the explosion, as authorities work to unravel the circumstances surrounding this tragic incident.
