Lahore is gearing up for an exciting addition to its leisure attractions, as the Parks and Horticulture Authority (PHA) announces the construction of Pakistan’s first-ever floating restaurant.
The innovative dining facility will be built on the canal near Harbanspura at an estimated cost of Rs 350 million. Designed to offer a unique experience, the restaurant will feature seating areas, cafes, children’s play zones, and recreational amenities, making it an appealing spot for families and visitors.
Three construction firms—Babar & Co, HRD Construction, and Riyaz Enterprises—have been shortlisted to bring the project to fruition. Once completed, the floating restaurant is expected to transform the canal into a vibrant leisure destination, blending dining and recreation in a picturesque setting.
The PHA has assured that work on the project is progressing efficiently, with completion anticipated in the near future.
