Magnitude 5.7 Earthquake Jolts Multiple Cities Across Pakistan

A magnitude 5.7 earthquake struck various regions of Pakistan on Wednesday, sending tremors through cities including Islamabad, Lahore, and Peshawar. The earthquake was felt across Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and the federal capital, causing widespread panic as residents rushed out of homes and offices.

Cities like Multan, Faisalabad, Mianwali, Bhakkar, Sargodha, and Chiniot were also impacted, along with Tala Gang and Chakwal. In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, areas such as North Waziristan, DI Khan, Swat, and Lower Dir experienced tremors as well.

The Seismological Centre reported that the earthquake occurred at 12:28 PM with a depth of 10 kilometers, and its epicenter was located near DG Khan. Although the tremors led to anxiety and disruption, no loss of life or property has been reported so far.

Earthquake magnitude and depth are measured on the Richter scale, with intensity levels determining the impact felt across the region.
