NASA’s Space Launch System rocket and Orion spacecraft have been moved back to the launch pad in Florida. This is the second attempt, following a March postponement due to a helium system issue.
Engineers confirm the problem has been fixed and will conduct final checks at the pad to ensure readiness. The rocket, nearly 100 meters tall, is transported by a crawler vehicle moving at about one mile per hour.
The journey can take up to 12 hours as teams monitor the system closely. Upon arrival, engineers will reconnect the launch tower and perform pressure tests on the helium system that caused the earlier delay.
Teams will also execute parts of the countdown process without fuelling the rocket. NASA officials are set to review final test data before deciding whether to proceed with a launch window starting April 1st.
