Pakistan Day observed tomorrow
The nation will celebrate Pakistan Day tomorrow (Monday) with a renewed pledge to transform the country into a true Islamic and welfare state, as per the vision of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah.
Observed on 23rd March every year, the day commemorates the historic Lahore Resolution passed in 1940. This resolution set the agenda for Muslims in the Sub-continent to establish a separate homeland for themselves.
The federal capital will witness a thirty-one-gun salute, while provincial capitals will have twenty-one-gun salute marking this significant occasion.
Special prayers are scheduled after Fajr prayers in mosques across the country, with an emphasis on progress and prosperity of the nation.
In addition, ISPR has released a special national song ‘Meri Mitti Meri Jaan, Pakistan Zindabad’ for the day. The song is a strong message of patriotism and national unity.
