This decision was made during a meeting in Islamabad between Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi and Deputy Speaker of the New York State Assembly, Phil Ramos.

Naqvi also highlighted the ample opportunities for collaboration between Pakistan and the US in education, healthcare, and economic development. He referred to his recent visit to New York, noting that productive discussions were held between the Islamabad Police and the New York Police Department to enhance cooperation. He mentioned that a delegation from the Islamabad Police will soon visit New York to further these efforts.
