Pakistan’s Information Minister Attaullah Tarar announced that precise strikes were carried out against hideouts of Fitna Al Khwarij along the border with Afghanistan. The operation resulted in the death of 26 militants allegedly sponsored by India.

Tarar cited recent militant attacks as the reason for these operations, including incidents on June 9 at a Federal Constabulary post in Musa Dara, and May 9 at a police station in Bannu.

The action was based on credible intelligence and involved the selective targeting of camps and hideouts with precision. Four targets were destroyed, including training centers, hideouts, ammunition caches, and centres belonging to Fitna Al Khwarij commanders Aleem Khan Khushali and Akhtar Muhammad Jani Khel.

Tarar emphasized Pakistan’s commitment to maintaining peace and stability in the region while prioritizing the safety of its citizens. He also reaffirmed that Pakistan’s counter-terrorism campaign under the “Azm-e-Istehkam” framework would continue at full pace, with efforts aimed at eliminating foreign-sponsored terrorism from the country.
